FYI. Use it as you will....
I just bought one of these clamp on muzzle brakes from a business here in Australia. I ordered a 21.5mm to suit my heavy barrel 10FP in 308.
When it arrived I was wrapt with the quality, finish and extra look it gave the rifle. Can't wait to get out and give it a run, hoping to reduce recoil....

The website states - "**PLEASE NOTE: We are able to accept International Orders for this item." Service was impeccable.
I'd like to put a pic on, but I'm not allowed.:(
Good thing is, it's easily removed if I want to go back to original condition.
cheers,
Dutch.

Just make sure to index it correctly - I would use a rubber mallet to ensure that it's seated all the way against the muzzle. The tolerances for the clamp-on brakes can be kinda sketchy sometimes, but you shouldn't have any issues. I tried the clamp on brakes for a while but never liked them enough to substitute for thread-on brakes.

Your rifle is going to have felt recoil comparable to that of a .243, it's going to be an absolute pleasure to shoot.

No worries mate. It's fitted perfectly, I had a rubber mallet ready but didn't need it. Just need a torque wrench to get the screws to 89 ft/lbs or 9 nm. The torque is something I need to get right, don't want it blowing off.

Thread on brakes will clearly be a better option, but authorities here in Australia have laws against modifying firearms. They also get nervous when you thread a barrel instantly assuming you want a silencer (which are also highly illegal) and you're intentions are nothing but evil. Which is just stupid. In New Zealand however, silencers are completely legal.
Go figure....
I'd like a silencer just to save my hearing!

Looks good, I hope it works out for you ;)
I was out today with my model 10 FCP in .308 and I tell ya, those 168gr HPBT's went off like a kitten.

Nice - I've just reloaded a bunch of Nosler 168gn ballistic tips, using 42 gns of AR2206H powder, CCI primers - should push out about 2600fps.........can't wait.
Bought a torque wrench today and fitted the brake to spec. Looks awesome.

Let's hope she shoots as good as she looks.
These are the results I got last Friday using Lapua brass, CCI 200 primer, Hornady 168gr Match and BLC (2) powder. These 3 shots were fired at 100 yards and were my 2nd last group of three starting from max load and working down .1 grs

Excellent group - that's why we own a Savage centrefire rifle. "The definition of accuracy.."

@ JMG1894

Any idea of what your FPS was, I get groups like that at about 2550 FPS,
but they seem to open up a bit as I get over 2650 range.
I'm going to try some different powders though
