Savage 64 Trigger Alternative?

Hi all,

I recently picked up a Savage 64 TR-SR and love the rifle, but hate the heavy trigger pull. I've seen one aftermarket trigger spring kit online but the price point was more than I would like to spend for two pieces of twisted wire.

Are there any other options to get a lighter trigger pull? I've also looked into cutting the spring but I'm not confident in that approach at the moment.

Any advice would be awesome, thank you.

The spring kit you mention is the only option I know of. There's very little aftermarket support for the Model 64.
