Nikon M308 scope/Bushnell arbor bore-sight- reticle is 2 grids low

The base I'm using is a Talley 20 MOA rail.
Rifle is a model 10 FCP in .308
Rings are Burris Signature Series Zee rings.
After adjusting windage and elevation, the elevation turret maxes out 2 grids below center on the bore-sight.
Should this be a concern? Am I overthinking the ballistics?
Will my bullets (168gr Hornady Match) not hit high at 100yds?
I'm tired.....been thinking about this all day and whether or not I should take it back to Cabelas and get teh "Zero MOA" base instead.

It can be a concern depending on your use. If it is a dedicated 600+ yard gun then no. Hunting gun it can be. Your bullets will be high at 100 yards.

Jamie is correct, but it sounds to me as though you havent actually shot the gun.
Id personaly be doing that in order to confirm where your zero would need to be.
Meaning it might be you would need a 200 yd zero instead of 100 with that base.
It really makes no difference where zero is unless you want to do most of your shooting at
100 yds or less. Even then you could hold low using the reticle. For longer shooting the base you have would help.
For about $40 you can buy a zero taper base from EGW and keep the one you have for future use if needed.

I've decided to take it back in exchange for the 0 moa base. The range I shoot at is 300 yards. I'd really like to get the full benefit of the Nikon scope and use the dials to adjust POI rather than hold over/under.

Good choice as you want the scope to be close to optical center as possible.
