Has anyone ever had problems with Federal 223 ammo 55grain ?
My rifle seems to only want to fire Remington 55 gr
Is this common? Any info would be great.

If The ammo is factory and Your Gun will not fire the one , You may have a headspace problem . You may wat to tell us a little mor about you problem there are a lot of smart fellers on this site . DD

Are you talking accuracy? If so it is not uncommon for a gun to like a particular ammo over another.
If you are saying the gun won't fire then you have a problem, that could be caused by two or three things.
Need all the facts before anyone can give you an answer.

Federal ammo wont fire rifel has not been altered any in way evreything is stock.

Check your primers to see if they are being struck. If not either the firing pin is not coming out far enough or the spring is not strong enough to push with enough force to set off the primer.

My first guess would be the firing pin. Look at the firing pin mark on the ammunition that did not fire and compare it to those that did fire. You might also check the bolt screw and make sure that it is tight.
