Hunter XP .243 Non accu-trigger

I own a Hunter XP non accu-trigger .243. The trigger seems to be developing creep even after it's thoroughly cleaned. Can't fork out $100 for trigger job but looking to improve weight of pull and try to eliminate any creep. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Check out youtube and search for Savage trigger jobs. There are many videos on how to go about it several ways. I've had good results just snipping off a few coils of the main trigger spring, but go slow and test often for safety....you can't put the coils back on if you cut too much off. Good luck
