Try a piece of Venetian blind and two small pieces of velcro

I got some carbon fiber ones from a guy on accurate shooter. They work better than the blinds

On a hot day the adhesive on the Velcro may melt and move around. It does work. This only works when you experience wash out as the barrel heats up, after firing your view my turn white. The only thing you can do for true mirage is back out of the magnification. Somewhere under 20x it improves. Back your parallax off about 20 or 30 yards and you can read the mirage.

Cut one out of a piece of scrap vinyl siding. Secure with velcro. You can make it any size you like.

Sinclair sells this one, it come with velcro and all. We have these on several rifles and never had a problem with the velcro not sticking when the barrels heated up. they cost less than buying a package of velcro and finding a blind to use, they are only five bucks. http://www.sinclairintl.com/shooting-accessories/benchrest-equipment/sinclair-barrel-mirage-shade-prod32718.aspx

If you use a blind slat turn it parabolic up.

Or follow missed's advice.
