my savage 116 30-06

here is my new savage 30-06 model 116. this is the second one of these i have owned and wanted to make me a long range gun. i have a 308 barrel coming for it today maybe..thanks

I love the 116 in 30-06. My 116FLCSAK is my favorite hunting rig and is stupid accurate.

If you want to shoot it long, then why go backwards to .308?

i just got a good deal on the 308 barrel. i may stick to the o6. would like to find a heavy barrel for it.

My 116 30-06 is also my favorite rifle! Mines the "classic" with a nice walnut stock and fluted barrel. Shoulders better to me than any other gun I've handled.

06 may not be the most trendy cartridge out there but it's second to none for putting critters on the ground

There are some long range advantages to the 30-06 over the 308 if you're going to 1000 yds.

i think they only have 2 style nuts. the square groove and the round groves..
