Rust Protecting Newly Cut Threads?

I have a Savage FCP HS Precision in .308 WIN and just had the barrel threaded. I already installed the muzzle break for my suppressor that is currently in jail. My question is if there is anything I should do to the exposed metal from the threading? It is currently not blued. I keep my guns in a safe with a dehumidifier and it is unlikely (although not imporrible) that this gun will see inclement weather beyond the Florida humidity on a trip to the range. Is a good coat of oil on the threads before putting on the muzzle break sufficient? Gun grease better?

I have found one of the best long term storage rust preventatives is RIG grease. It can be gotten from most any good gun outlet. I got mine from here,

I used that on the M1A. Moly Coat is a good thread lubricant/Rust protector. I taped of a barrel and ear plugged the bore to moly coat a threaded barrel a couple of times. Still no rust.

i saw a test of moisture protecting lubricants,,,,,3 best were , wd 40 specialist corrosion resistant,,,,,frog lube , and a hornaday product , hope that helps

Saw the same test. WD40 SCR and Frog did better than some that cost a lot more.
