Just bought a Savage action and Criterion Barrel from Jim at NSS for my first bolt gun build. I have built many Caspian 1911s, 1919 Belt feds, AKs and such, but never a bolt gun. With help from members at my gun club, I'm sure it will be minimally painless. I searched a few other forums before deciding on this one. I like the brotherhood of this one.
