I Just finished my axis today, got a model 12 Used barrel for cheap and put everything in a boyds stock and use marine tex for bedding. Then i ground down the bolt handle and made a new one on the lathes and then powder coated it, i also polished the bolt body with 400 grit on the lathes. EGW 20moa scope mount old millett and cheap 20$ bipod from ebay. Can't wait to shoot it. Let me know what you all think and let see your axis ...

Nice job and great looking rig!! Did you feel any difference in the bolt function, from before and after polishing?

Sweet. I bet she shoots like you spent a lot more than you did.

thanks for looking at it. The bold polishing did not change anything exempt the look and I'm in the process of making a new adjustable trigger can't wait to shoot it jut got to find a load for it.
