Couldn't quite figure out where this post belonged, so I posted it here. Is there any listing of what the Savage model designations mean (FCNS, FCXXP3, FCNS and on and on and on ........)? Thanks

The Savage alphabet soup (as I like to call it) is constantly changing, but this should give you a pretty good idea.

To use a familiar analogy... They're all pretty much the same pig, the differences are just in the color of lipstick they're wearing. (stock type, metal type, finish, etc.).
