Screws for Bases - Model 11 and Model 111

I kept the Leupold bases/rings from a Model 11 hunter in .308 (wood stock) and thought about putting them on a new Model 111, youth, synthetic, 30/06. Both are recent Savage models. The holes for the bases matched up on the 111, however, the bolts from the 11 to screw them on were a tad to thick. I would have thought there would have been a straight transfer of bases as regards these to models. What am I missing?

Does anyone know for sure what bases (or bolt thread/size) will fit the 111 youth model? The local gun shops don't have anything even close and even the net does not seem to have an answer that warrants ordering them in and having them fit right. I would prefer a one piece but two is not a deal breaker.

There is no difference in the action between the youth model and the full length adult version. The differences are in the stock and barrel length. The bolts and bases should be the same for both models.
