Well I sold a couple guns and jumped into the Brotherhood of the Barrel Nut. Lol! Picked up a Model 10 in 308 at local gun shop for $600. It has a Williams rear sight mounted forward of the action and a front sight that appears permanent. I may swap the barrel out at some point for a shorter barrel that is threaded with a brake, but will go with this 20" barrel for now. I want a light weight hunting rig. It is all black, so next on the list is a camo job. The cool part, apart from the nice Nikon scope I got for it, is the www.boltknobs.com carbon bolt I just got! Swapping it out was super easy and it fit perfect!! It weighs a lot less than the original although I didn't weigh them first. Duh. Oh well.

Oh, and thank you to whoever posted a link to boltknobs.com on some other thread here! Otherwise I never would have found those most awesome pieces of craftsmanship! Only thing better would be to make one out of birdseye maple. Maybe for my next build.

Do they make one for a round reciever, instead of the flat back you have one yours? I love the handle just want one for a round reciever.

maxl, they only make that version. What their deal is is to make a super light bolt handle/knob setup. So that knob weighs CONSIDERABLY less than the round back bolt handle/knob I took off of there!
