Greetings all, and thanks for having me.
I've had a 114E 30:06 for a few years now and was wondering if anyone shoots their 110/1/2/3/4 for distance and accuracy.
I took a few hog with this thing when I first got it, but haven't shot it for a few years due to a couple eye surgeries. Eye problems and major calibre concussion just don't get along.
Shot it two weekends ago and the thing amazed me; 100y, one ragged hole. 200y, a bigger hole and 250, I could still cover the group with an old-fashoned half dollar. I'm this weekend to a 1000y range and try to take it out to 600y.
Now, my eyes are old. Those results are the rifle, not me. But I was wondering if all 110s shoot like this or did I get lucky. This thing doesn't have AccuTrigger. It has a BSA 8-32X44 mounted on Talley rings.

The above statement is only true if you were not the shooter.

Doesn't really matter whether it is a 114E or not. You and the Savage make a good team. Go with it!
