These were very popular and great performers when they were in production. I remember how angry some shooters were when they were taken out of production. Nosler actually brought them back into production for a short time due to shooter demand.

A blast from the past in the 60's and early 70's! The ribs were to cut down on bullet friction through the bore. It's been a long, long time since I loaded any of those.

How thick do you think that jacket was? I can't recall exactly off hand but the bullet jacket was quite a bit thicker at the ribs than it was from the ogive to tip.

Geez, I haven't seen bullets like that since my grandfather was a reloader. And that was too long ago to remember.

WOW! ..... Zipedo's Now that's a blast from the past. I still have 500 ea. just like scope eyes given to me by a great friend about circa 1988. ................... I'm told they're very accurate. Have yet to load the 1st bullet. HHMMMMM?

Cool stuff! I have a reluctance to load any of the great old bullets simply because I am afraid I'll find a fantastic load and when the bullets are gone I am out of luck. I don't have any Zipedos but do have several of the old solid base bullets in .308.
