does anyone know if shaw barrels are chrome moly
or just chromed lined...thanks

I've got 2 ER Shaw barrels, both are Chrome Moly. Chrome lined is pretty unusual unless you are talking about a military weapon...say an AR-15 and they are normally very well identified as being Chrome Lined

Shaw sells 4140 chrome moly, and 416 stainless. They tell you that on their website.
And no, no chrome lined bores.

FWIW I had a Shaw barrel in 338-06 and it was a great shooter. It fouled worse than a CBI or Shilen but still shot well when fouled, for a hunter or informal target rifle I wouldn't hesitate to get another.
