I just upgraded to a Boyds thumbhole stock. Now I want to get rid of the Bushnell 3-9x40 that came on my Axis and upgrade it. Problem is no way the wife would be alright with shelling out a few hundred dollars for a new scope. SO...thinking of selling my Sig Sauer P250sc in 9mm to fund an optics upgrade. I'd hate to be without a pistol, but I figure I could get the optic I want and a newer carry pistol would be a little cheaper to replace down the road. Thoughts? Am I nuts?

Do you use/shoot the pistol?
When was the las time?
How often do you plan to shoot the rifle?
Seems you have a fully functional scope on the rifle right now, that you may or may not be able to get $$$ what you want for out of it.
If you only have the one pistol and you get rid of it...
And very little ammo/gun related is going to be cheaper down the road, unless you settle for a cheaper product.
I'd use the rifle with the Bushnell that came on it until I could afford the scope I wanted.
