116 stock question

I have an older model 116 270 before the accutrigger, It was bought used back in 2005. I'm not sure which yr but I tried looking it up on savage's website, and it's not in the system. I want to get a boyd's stock for it but don't want to order the wrong thing.

I failed to mention that the serial starts with F274***. The savage website says they don't service models prior to F498821.

Being a 270 you know its a long action, and as old as it is it certainly is a top bolt release. You'll need to choose detachable mag, internal blind mag or hinged floor plate and whether it is stagger feed or center feed. Stagger feed the bag box stays on the action when you take it out of the stock, center feed the mag box stays in the stock when you take it off.

Thanks for the reply mattri. Yea it's a long action with top bolt release and also has a blind mag. Now I'll just have to see if it's stagger or center feed.
