i used testors oil based flat lacquer paint, couldn't find anything else here in canada :p
i would thin it with a few drops of thinner though.getting better with experience.
here was my first attempt with another stock......didn't mix well enough and decided to do the barrel and receiver too but still think it's cool looking.

How durable is it? Has the paint on the first one you did held up to regular use/cleaning?

Very cool project, and you did a great job.

unknown!i would imagine it will hold up good after being cleared.i use rem oil to clean my firearms and that has no affect on it.

it is cool, especially with a clear container, you can watch it actually change as it's dipped.
