???
Just wondering,
with the standard redfield turn in bases and rings that are windage adjustable, does that rear ring take some recoil, or are they designed where the front ring takes all the recoil ?
That rear ring, the screws are just cupped, and they screw down onto the base, that is cut, where as the front rings turn into the base that is machined for it ?
To me, the one set I have, redfield one piece base and rings, the rear ring just seems to not have enough meat there for a good mating, but the front runs in and is one solid piece of steel when seated ?
Am I overthinking this ?
