Looking for opinions on the Swift Premier 6-18 x 44 scope. I have looked through one and was satisfied with the claritybut haven’t shot a rifle with one riding on it. I’m considering this scope to sit on top of a model 12 FV in 204 Ruger for some prairie dog extermination.

I had one that was 4-12x44 and it was a great scope. Wish I had took it off the rifle before I sold it. It rode on a 223, my 308, and even a NEF Ultra Slug Hunter 12ga I had. It stodd up to 3 deer seasons before going on the rifles. Always held zero, tracked well, and was clear. I'd look at buying another.

I have several of them on everything from 22 cal. to 308 and like them. The only problem is some of them have too big of cross hairs and block out small targets at a distance.

I don't have that model but I have several Swift scopes, and they all perform flawlessly.

Thanks all! You've confirmed my hunch that these scopes are worth the money. Once I get the rifle & scope together I'll post results in the "At The Range" sub-forum. Providing it ever gets above freezing up here.
