Now are you ready to really have some fun?
Get u some 160 grain Barnes Triple Shock bullets with about 102 +/- grains of RL17 powder. MAYBE start off lower, under a 100 and work up.
It's like a 22-250 on triple steroids. I am thinking about building a second one just because I like it so much.
ZERO recoil, easy on brass and shoulder.

I have read about deans load. Thought it was rl17 or something not h1000 though. I have it wrote down at home. That is next on my loading list.

Hey Dennis, yes it is RL17 I have loaded as much as 106gr, but 100gr will get you 4000FPS and like, Dennis said easy on brass. I am waiting for someone to make a 12 or 14 twist in 338, and when they do I will have it set up just for that load.

You can also use 4350 both H and IMR, but velocity will be down some times up to 10%, depending on the batch and temp.

If you can't find the 160s the 180s will also do, although not as fun as the 160s.

I know it. Thats why I have no use for that kind of load but it's still pretty impressive speeds for that kind of slug......

It Is a good load out to 600 yards plus easy, with minimal bullet drop.
