I loaded up 41.2 gr of H4350 and did some bullet depth seating tests with my LRP 6.5 Creedmoor. This time I abandoned the 100 yard target and opted to shoot at a somewhat longer distance, which turned out to be 453 yards. I also tried shooting prone for the first time. I opted to do this with a bipod and rear bag. Daylight was burning so I loaded new brass without fl sizing first. I've never done that before. I noticed that bullet seating was harder on some thane others so I didn't expect much precision from these rounds. I used 140 gr Amax bullets, win lr primers, H4350 and new Hornady cases. Wind was vicious at 15 to 25 from my 4 - 5 o'clock and I was shooting 20 degrees south of dead east with -4 degree look angle. It was 59F though!

Before shooting this test the gun had 76 rounds down the tube. These were only 3 shot groups, as my time was very limited, and bullets were seated .030" off, .020" off and right at kissing the lands. The only poi differenceI saw was the ones kissing the lands were about 1 1/4" higher. I am using a metal door we took off the basement walkout as my target.

I love mine in 243. Half inch groups at 100 yds, 5 shots, 105 Noslers. Shoot out to 600 yds steel with ease. Will use it F-Open this year.
Just need the adjustable cheek rest.

Very nice. Those Amax must be pretty forgiving. Vlds shoot well but you really have to find the sweet spot..
Loaded 41 gr in mine -.040 off the lands and had a 3/4" group all vertical. Hope to do some more shooting tomorrow
