No junk, decent glass at least on par with a Leupold VXI under $500 or there abouts
that can handle some recoil.

I know the Burris SixX is a candidate at around $700 but no mildot and the ballistic mildot
doesnt really line up with my loads.

For my Hog rifle.

I use it in the woods with heavy round tips, thus the 2X, but
I also hunt in one field that is about 850 yards long.

Will be shooting 338 250 gr high BC bullets at about 2500 fps.

The burris SixX

They make this in 40mm and 50mm objectives.

IOR, but too expensive for me.
I had an IOR scope and they are awsome, but costly.

And thats about it.
The only one with a mil retical is the IOR, MP8 retical with 10 mils of hold over.
Not sure what it ranges at.

Quite a few options if you come up to a 3x bottom end. . .

I am considering the same type of scope for my deer rifle and/or slug gun. Havent found many with a 2x on the low end, but Sightron, Weaver, and a few others make them with a 2.5x-3x lower end. I'll probably opt for one of them.

I have a new scope brand that I prefer. Good glass and a range finding type of reticle.

Of interest to you, they do offer some very close to the power you want.

Pentax Gameseeker in 2.5-10x56 and 3.5-10x50 with their Precision Plex reticle.

I use a straight 6x Pentax with the PP reticle on one of my AR's - works rather well.

I know that, but a 3x doesnt do it for me in the brush for a 15-20 yard quick shot.

Looking for a 2x bottom end.

I have looked at a lot of scopes over the years and to me a 2 - something X is about perfect for me.

There are a lot of 3-9x and 4-12x scopes around.

One cheap 3-9x I like is the Sightron S1 3-9x mildot.
