Sometime ago, I purchased a "special run" Savage 16 in 243 called the "BGH" series....stainless rifle with a 22" heavy fluted barrel, accutrigger...and a rather lousy gray plastic stock...no accustock...easily one of the best out of the box rifles I've ever owned (with the exception of a Savage model 10 in 22-250). Over the past year or so, range groups typically average 3/8" shooting both 70g NBT & the Sierra 85g BTHP over a charge of IMR 4350. Here's my question....anyone have any information regarding where I can find a good stock for this rifle......it's a hinged floorplate model and I've heard that makes things more difficult....The Lady at Bell & Carlson says they don't make one for a hinged floorplate model, and I've not seen anything on the HS Precision site.....Thanks for your help...

You will probably have to go to one of the custom stock makers.
Try a search there are some mentioned here.

Take a look at the stock for the Savage model 11BTH... Laminated thumbhole stock for a Savage short action with hinged floorplate.

You would have to open up the barrel channel but otherwise it would be a drop-in proposition. - This may be your best bet, if you like the looks of that particular stock.

Here's a picture of my model 16 barreled action in one of those stocks.
