Hi guys just looking for input on the 114 American classic stainless in 270. I can get one that is supposed to be new never fired for 650 Canadian. I live in ontario that's why it's in Canadian dollars. Not looking to debate on caliber just input on the rifle itself. Thanks guys.

Great Savage model with beautiful walnut stock which I prefer over the factory plastic or AccuStock. Good shooter out of the box. I usually glass bed the action and recoil lug making sure the barrel and tang are free-floated. I also swap out the standard Accutrigger spring with a varmint/target spring to get the pull weight down to 1.5#. But that's not necessary, just my preference.

Good one, go for it.
Let me put this in Canadian terms; it's like the best bowl of poutine you've ever had! Not very expensive, but totally satisfying, eh?

How so? I took it as a compliment to your choice of a rifle.
Yeah, maybe jb was misunderstood. He's a good guy, class member and just trying to have fun with ya. I don't see any disrespect there, and a confident none was intended.
Perhaps, not being Canadian, there is some other meaning to "poutine" he/we don't understand.
Apologies.
Ah, humor and the Internet...like foxx said, I was just having a bit of fun. No disrespect meant at all.
Having lived and worked in Canada, off and on, since I was a kid in the 70's, I have a great affection for the country. I also happen to like both a good bowl of poutine, and Savage rifles
Sorry for the ill feelings (and thank you foxx).
