Any of you running a Mcree chassis? Do you like them ? Opinions pro and con.
Thanks

Got mine a few months ago. Absolutely love this thing. Got the folding option with it, for cleaning etc (highly recommend this option). AI mags fit like a glove. Chasis is solid as a rock even with the folding hinge. I did put an ergo grip with palm rest on in place of the factory ar grip.

Very nice !!! My only concern is the weight. Have a chance to buy a used one like yours but in tan. The other thing I don't like is that the stock has movement that creates noise when folded. Does yours do that ?

I like them and have two, one folder, one non-folder. Can't say I've noticed any noise when folded, thought it's usually in a case when folded. It's solid and quiet when it isn't folded, just like the non-folder.

It's rock solid when not folded but has play when it is folded. Is that normal ?

Slight play when folded. No play when not folded. Makes a slight "thunk" when folded back to full length. Can't imagine a instance where you'd be effected by that tho. I only fold mine to clean and measure OAL.

Let me be more clear. I'm not concerned about the stock when it's locked fully open. I don't care about the noise it makes as it engages. My concern is the play it has when the stock is folded or not not in use. It has a fair amount of movement and actually bangs against the forearm of the stock.

Never really noticed as I store/transport in fully opened position. If you pm your phone number I'd be more than happy to send you a video of how much play it has when folded

Just tested mine. Does not move enough to contact forearm

Thanks. I'm starting to think this hinge might have excessive play

Yep, I bought both of mine used and picked up a folder for a buddy last month for $450 shipped. They're all aluminum so other than some paint getting scraped off you're not going to hurt them.

Ahhhh. I looked through each section to find pics thinking you were selling one. I had decided on a McRee a few years back when my plan was to get a Rem 700.

I like the EE on ARFcom but so much of it is retailers selling stuff for MSRP. So I stick to the used section and check it every 6 months or so.

The Hide was the best until they decided to start charging way too much for membership...

I think I lasted two days on there until I was all trolled out. I mean even the owner is a troll. Interesting format.
