I got a gift card to Bass Pro so I went yesterday and bought a bipod for my Mark II. Looks kind of sexy, don't you think...

I had a girlfriend who had short legs and knobby knees...and freckles. She was sexy too.

I bought a short BiPod for my 308 but needed a taller one for sitting. I hadn't even thought about using the short one on my MKII. Good idea. Thanks.

For bench shooting what is the general consensus on the height to purchase?

I like the 6-9" for bench shooting, and use the longer bipods for predator hunting where a sitting or kneeling shot comes into play quite frequently.

I have every hgt. bipod Harris makes. I also have the Caldwell pictured. From a bench for just general shooting like targets or prairie dogs on level terrain
i prefer the lowest hgt. If uphill shots could be involved id want more leg adjustment hgt. The higher the legs are extended the more flex you get.
If your only going to own 1 the 6 to 9 would be a good choice from a bench or prone. Nothing wrong with a 1x4 or 2x4 cutoff under the legs of a short one either
for more hgt. from a bench.
