Can anybody tell me the difference between a 12FVC and a model 12FV? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

It is actually an 12FCV you are thinking of. The "C" notation in the model means it has a detachable mag system instead of a blind(top load) mag. That is the only difference between the two you referenced.

Welcome to the site.
The 12FCV has a magazine, and possible has the accu-stock; The 12fv does not, but has a lower cost. besides that they are the same.

Thanks fellas, So it sounds to me like the 12FV is a 200 Stevens with a Accutrigger? I have a 200 in .243 and am thinking about a 204 but they don't offer it in the Stevens line. Am happy with the .243 but would like something with a little less kick and noise for the chucks. Have a Ultra varminter in 223 but after purchasing found out it had a 1-9 twist and can't get it to shoot anything but heavier hand loads or expensive Hornady TAP ammo. Now that I've gotten into reloading thought the 204 would be neat to try.

Yes and No, the 12fv has a heavier varmint contour barrel, where the Stevens has a sporter barrel. The 11f would be a Stevens 220 with an accu-trigger. All three use the same action.
