Savage Long Action - Magazine Question

Guys, I have a Savage stainless long action in 7mm Rem. Magnum. It is the staggered feed with attached magazine box. I know this magazine supports the 7mm and the .300 Win Mag cartridges. Will it also support the .30-06 family of cartridges or would I need to replace the magazine? Who sells the magazines separately?

Try a few 30-06 cases in the mag and see if it works.

for example, here is the SS 7mm Mag detachable Magazine... It's probably not what you're looking for, but they are the best source for older parts. Look around there, you may find what you're looking for.

I don't know if the mag magazine will work for the '06 cartridges. might be able to tweak the lips a bit and make it work.
