Getting ready to finish the build on my 6.5 Creedmoor. 8 twist 24" CBI barrel. Using 130 VLD Berger hunting bullets for now.
Anyone have any pet loads I should try? Anyone using RL 17? Other ideas?
Thanks

Im gonna tag this thread, Im loading for my Creedmoor. But I am using the 123 grain Amax. It shoots amazingly well but I want to shoot a heavier bullet. I tried to find RL 17 yesterday but no luck. All I have played with so far is IMR 4350.

I've been shooting RL17 in my 6.5x284 with great results and I imagine I'll see the same with this gun. Just looking for someone with some load data and results.

MZ5 did some Pressure Trace loads with 140gr Nosler CC's with RL-17. VERY consistent, and the OBT shows that it would be a beautiful grouping load. No idea what the actual load was, but would fall within posted amounts.

The only thing I have readily available for 130gr loads is RL-19, which has a starting load of 39.5gr and a max of 44.0gr. If you send us an email at techsupport@bergerbullets.com we can try to work something up for you on RL-17.

Use H4350 data and reduce by two grains and work up from there.
