My name is Tom, I live in Ontario Canada with my wife who also hunt's with me. We own new Savage rifles as well as 1977 Savage 99 Series A .308 that I picked up a few weeks back. I got into lever action "fever" when my buddy sold me his 1952 Marlin .30-30, I could not resist the feel and balance of a decent wooden stock. I first become obsessed with Savage at a gun auction where I purchased a 1903 savage.300 bolt action rifle. (sold it) I own a new .308 savage with a scope for my stand gun so when I saw this 99 with a very nice Monte Carlo stock I just had to have it. (I am bad for that) It will be me daily driver bush gun for a very long time indeed. The wife owns a .270 savage for stand(and yes my friends the lady can shoot very well) and I gave her the Marlin .30-30 for her bush driver.
We have a few friends around us who also like to shoot but it's a rare time we all get out. We are always actively searching for fellow hunters and local areas we can go to just tune in a few rounds at targets.
We own several other guns as well as the 4 mentioned above. Feel free to send an e-mail tpx55@hotmail.com to me if your near the Alliston area and want to talk about maybe setting something up as far as hunting or just target shooting if you have a farm or something safe for us to use.
