Good evening guys!

I'm hoping someone here has run in to this before and knows a solution to my question. Its finally time to start my build from a .270 to a 7.62x39. I'm slowly getting the parts together and I'm stuck when it comes to the magazine. Savage made a 10fcm with a 4rd dbm but I can't find them in stock anywhere. Is there another caliber that will feed this round reliably? My rifle is currently set up as a blind magazine but I am not opposed to the box magazine route, even if it means a new stock. Any help y'all can give me is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Honestly, I'd stay with your current follower and see if it works.
I converted a 270 into a 22-250, and it fed just fine. Why spend money on something, that may not be a problem?

I put one together (7.62x39mm) out of parts I bought on here. It was an earlier long receiver from a factory .223 and mag box has a spacer in it. It works ok but you can only put one in the chamber and 2 in the mag body as the taper is what is against you in the cartridge case itself. The stock .223 mag works but I would use the one you have to see if it works at all. I also used the .223 front baffle to limit the bolt throw. In your case I would use the .270 baffle and put the cartridges back aagainst the rear of the mag first. You could call Kevin Rayhill at 1-308-432-5114 and maybe he could help.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll grab a couple of rounds and see if how the factory setup works. Jonbearman, how did yours shoot when it was done? Did you use a .308 bore or a .310-311 bore?
