Has anyone built an Axis in 7MM Mag?
I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

I have worked up an Axis in .300 Win Mag that's just waiting on its stock, so it's possible to piece one together. Whether or not it blows up in my face will determine if it is well-advised.

What did you have to change... bolt head and barrel?

Bolt head, barrel, stock, and magazine. The magazine might not have needed swapping out, as the action seemed to pick up cartridges from a standard long magazine, but I feel the magnum magazine will make for more reliability.

I'll go over things in more detail once I get it stocked and test fired so I can be reasonably certain I'm not making a fool out of myself. I was actually going to not mention the project here until I knew everything worked.

EDIT: And it looks like my project will be delayed. I need to get an RMA for a split stock, and who knows how long it will take to get a replacement.
