I'm looking to add a scope to my new Mark II F. What is the cheapest place to buy an EGW base? Optics Planet had them for 29.99 before Christmas. They are 39.99 now. There is a Place called Joe Bob Outfitters that has them for 34.99. Do you guys know of a better deal?

Thanks

Well you could stop by their place in Quakertown Pa and try getting them angry at you.
They just might pick up something to throw at you just to get you to leave.
If your lucky it might be a scope base that fits your gun.

I usually have good luck using optics planets ebay store. At times I can use the Buy It Now feature for a lower price than off their website. Remember they are free shipping over $30 so figure that into the price from some other places that might seem cheaper.

Well I got to individual bases from Gander Mountain for $5 each and I had to try a few before I got it right. The bases that fit were for a Browning Mark II.

The individual Weaver bases are a #16 for the proper ones according to their chart.

I looked at the Weaver #16 bases, but they say to grind the screws down because they are too long... I'm scared of that.

I bought the 2 I've got from Joe Bobs. Shipping is lightning fast from them too.

Warne M824/824 base. Their web site FAQ says the rings are manufactured in a way when properly installed don't need to be lapped!
