Spent my down time on the last 3 nights of this shift sanding and clear coating a very nice piece of cedar I cut from a log I had at the house for the back board of the Euro whitetail mount I have been working on. I got in a rush and jacked up the 7th coat of clear and instead of just letting it sit and harden then sand I hit it with the sander not thinking yep it jacked it up royally. Just got done sanding it back down to raw wood and stuck a thin coat of stain I am highlighting with on it. Time to start the coats of clear. Freaking impatience gets me everytime.

There are some things that can't be rushed, but, so help me, I still do.

Don't be in a hurry. Enjoy it, when you do it. Rome or other cities weren't built in one day.

keep in mind that most of accidents or faults made in a hurry. Good quality will take it's time

Never enough time to do it right, always enough time to do it over.

Think of it this way.
That was your practice run. Now, you're ready for the real thing.

Don't screw it up. We're watching this time.
