Model 99 SP

I am new to the site and happy to have found it. My first question is what does the SP mean on this Model 99? The second question is how do I find the proper rear sight for this Model? Ser#614XXX and Tang mark is 2B so it should date 1950? Thanks for any help.

Weird, with that serial number it should have been a 1951 rifle with a C date code but never say never with Savage.

The SP is just a proof mark.

Finding a rear sight is gonna be hard, either a gun show or Ebay.
