Just ordered this scope to replace the kaspa on my Axis II in 223 rem.

I know it is meant for AR type rifles, but I thought it was a bargain for $90.

Does anybody have this scope mounted on their Axis ???
Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

A .223 bullet doesn't really know if it's been fired out of an AR or a bolt action! I don't have this particular scope, but the BDC reticule should still work to the same extent that it would on an AR. It's an approximation, of course, based on either a specific bullet/MV combination or an average of common combinations, but it could be effective enough over the ranges its designed for.

As a non-owner, I will say I do like the plain MOA turret design. That would make it easier to dial in drop for any load you care to use and at any magnification. $90 seems like a good deal all told.

Thanks Dr. T, what I'm really worried about is the eyepiece looks bigger than normal which might cause problems with the bolt.

@ earl30 - ordered from palmetto state armoryIt's priced at $99, use "bushnell10" at checkout.

Still $99 at PSA with free shipping. Buy it now through 2/28/15 and get a $30 rebate from Bushnell.

I have one on an AR and love it. Dots are heavy but crosshairs are fine.

Just don't get in a hurry for the rebate from Bushnell. I sent one in September and the status is still at "processing". Next steps are "approved" and "mailed".

I'm ordering one just now. Where does one get the rebate form, or any info on the rebate?

Do a search for "Bushnell Bullseye Rebate 2015"

or try this: http://sporting.myonlinerebate.com/09884/

I'll need to get mounting stuff for it too. This is quite the adventure!

I think to mount this scope, I would like to get the one piece ring/mount setup. Any experience with the bolt lever hitting with medium height or should I get tall?

Because the delivery is taking too llooong from palmetto, I ordered another weaver kaspa 4-16 AO. I just need some burris rings.

Anyway, I ordered the bushnell on Dec 24, and the rebate runs from Dec 30 onwards. Will I be able to apply for the rebate since I will be receiving the scope next week or so? I will never buy from palmetto again...

I would think that the purchase date for rebate purposes will be whatever is printed on your receipt. The current $30 rebate requires a purchase date between 1/1/15 and 2/28/15. I don't understand how this is PSA's fault. If I recall, PSA had a pretty good deal on this scope before the rebate at that time. MUCH cheaper than anywhere else that I know of.

If you're writing PSA off because of slow delivery, that's another thing. Many on other forums also complain about it. I know what to expect from them and do not mind waiting to receive items purchased at crazy-low prices. In fact, after ordering this scope on 1/3/15, I checked their site over and found that all reloading items were 30% off. Another large order was happily placed. If I needed anything by a certain date, it would be an over-the-counter transaction.

I'm not saying it's psa's fault. I'm only asking if maybe I'll still be able to claim for the rebate due to the slow delivery that's all. I think if I want simething for Christmas 2015, I will order now from psa...

I think I got a shipping note from Palmetto.. It is taking a long time to get here, but then again, we live in an age where we think everything should be instant. I sell parts for heavy equipment and ag. Some of my customer are pissed that we aren't open 25 hours a day, 8 days a week. We as consumers are hard to please, myself included.
I would like to have my scope...I don't need
my scope today. It's not a kidney..lol

If you ordered on 12/24/14 and the receipt is dated as such, you are not eligible for the rebate. If PSA dates it as the actual ship date between 1/1/15 and 2/28/15, then you are OK. If we do not receive the scopes by 2/28/15 we will all join you in being a bit upset.

Just received this scope yesterday and just tested it this morning. The reticle was stuck on the far left, and did not move to the right. When i turned the elevation turret, I heard a click, and reticle jumped to the left... it's going back to PSA...
