.300 savage take down

My .300 has stamped on the barrel " Manufactured By Savage Arms Corporation Utica N.Y. U.S.A. Pat' C May 25 1903 June 1. 1909" I don't know a whole lot of specifics about any rifles, would like any info on this rifle. My Pap hunted with it from the 40s on. I have killed many Deer with it since the 90s.

With what you've given me all I can tell you is that it was made between 1927 and 1928, you'll have to go into more detail if you want a model designation.
