I've been looking for a different stock for my 93r17 and Numrich has a nice wood stock with the medallion on it for the model 93. My question is will my 93r17 fit in the model 93 stock? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A 93R17 is still a 93.....

I figured but I had to be sure before I ordered it.

Do all model 93's have the "E" receiver? Does it make a difference as far as stock fitment goes. I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject, and I am interested in a replacement stock as well. Thanks Gary

I switched out the stock on my R93/17GLV lefty with a stock that I actually ordered from Savage. I'm guessing it was probably made by Boyd. It was $193 and it took about a month to 6 weeks before I got it. Just remember to get a trigger guard from Midway or Brownell's because it doesn't come with one and also it needs a trigger guard screw that is unavailable by any outfitter so I went through a old box of screws and found a suitable replacement.

Gun shoots much better.

I forgot to mention it was a laminated thumbhole stock.
