Well, if you've got an Axis with a recoil lug on the barrel, that would be good! I know some people have milled off the fronts of their Axises and installed 110 lugs, but I imagine most will have the stock-mounted lug.

Why are you removing the lug, if I may ask?

Creating a Target rifle with a BSA stock.
I will eventually turn off the front of the action and use a milled recoil lug and rebed the recoil lug, but this is how it will be set up for now.

I am interested to see how it shoots.

Barrel is a McGowen 26" 223 7 twist bull barrel I already had.

Too much work in this stock and I dont have the adjustable dovetail butt pad. A boyds stock would be about 10X easier.
