This isn't really a question but more of an answer or review. If this post is in the wrong section please move it admin.

I had a number of questions about the Boyd's stock fit on the Axis as well as how I was going to go about bedding it. There has been a great post on bedding elsewhere so I will just post a number of pictures of the stock and how it fits my long mag Axis. I have not modified the stock in any way. The stock was ordered in forest camo with a 14-1/4" LOP. Both of my Boyd's stocks are forest camo. (Scope was a freebee )

In the picture below notice that the sleeve on the mounting hole as well as the tab are both plastic.

Unlike my previous Boyd's FL Thumbhole the barrel is centered in this one.

Not sure what happened here.

I've put 10 rounds through it on two occasions now so this isn't a definitive opinion but I think it. The grip is a bit wide to get good traction but it's perfect for pulling back into your shoulder. I would say compared to my thumbhole it's less awkward to grab. The thumbhole is very comfortable once you're in place but it's not a grab and go. I won't describe it as bulky but it isn't a sporter.

I'll give an update after more use but as of right now I would buy another one.

How many rounds with your thumbhole stock? Hopefully you just got a lemon.

Thumbhole has to many to count through it. It is much meatier around the screws and I'd have to check but I believe they have metallic inserts/pillars.
