Hi all. I am trying to attach this scope to this old Savage 110 from 1958. The rear part of the receiver has a flat top, the front is curved. Is there any rail on the market that has a flat/curved base? If not, should I buy 2 smaller ones? I'm on a tight budget but want to do something that will hold up to the abuse this 30-06 provides.

Thanks in advance. Photo link here:

Look for rail and or 2 piece bases for savage long action with "flat back" you should be fine, they were all that way till not all that long ago.

Just to confirm, using a caliper, measure the distance, center to center, of the 2 middle screws. I am curious if they were any different than later models. If not, rails are easy to find, still being produced.

Pretty sure EGW makes one that will fit

Flat backs are also called pre-accutrigger.

EGW has a flat back base, I thinking its less than $40.00 shipped. If you are really watching your pennies Weaver's #413 is for a Savage long action flat back, cost approx $25.00(?). Both may be availiable at Midway USA or other online stores.

Plus one on the EWG rail. Great quality for the money. I have 3 or 4 of them. Tim

Just get the EGW rail and be done with it! Been there done that. You will be glad you did.
