model 12 223 to 308

Hello all. I am very new and want to double check that I am doing my build correctly. I have an older model 12 223 with a four round mag. To change to 308 all I need is a barrel and a go/nogo gauge? I think the bolt face is the correct size, is there a way to double check?

You also need the correct bolt head,the 308 is larger.The magazine also needs changing as the 223 uses a block for the shorter round and the follower is different.

Midway, Gunshack, Numrich Arms all carry them,it depends who has them in stock.Better yet just ask on this forum somebody will have what you need for sale or trade.Lots of knowledge and help on this forum.

Keep the 223 and get another in .308!
