Wanting to get into the Savage game

Hello, all.
I am an avid shooter from the Memphis area (Memphissippi, as it is sometimes called). I have been a Remmy man my entire life, but now I want to try out a Savage for my next LR gun. A forum member directed me here from Facebook as a possible resource for info.

I have been shooting long range for several years with R700 260, 7-08, and 308. I also use ARs for LR, with 2 6.5 Grendels and a 260 AR10. I am looking intently at the 12 LRP in 6.5CM, but am open to suggestions.

I look forward to absorbing as much info as possible before I buy.

I built 3 Rifles now and after doing the math I believe the LRP would have been the way to go even if I chose to upgrade or switch out anything after playing with it in factory form. You get a great action a reliable stock and about 99% of time they appear to be shooters with the right loads. If it's not then Savage will make it right.
