Good morning group! Researching potential modifications for my newly acquired Savage 11-VT led me to this site on several occasions so I figured I'd sign up and start reading. This 11-VT is the 4th savage rifle in my safe, needless to say I'm a fan of Savage rifles as I feel their accuracy is hard to beat for the price. I'm on the hunt for an affordable replacement stock (sub $300), a larger bolt knob, 1 piece base, and decent rings. . .it seems as if everything that I want has been covered here before so I'll start using the search function asap. My current lineup of Savage rifles includes:
10FCP-HS (chambered in .308) EGW 20 MOA base, Burris XTR rings, Nikon Monarch 4-16x50SF BDC
11-VT (chambered in .243) bone stock. . .for now!
93R17-FV in a Boyds Tacticool, DIP Bottom Metal, EGW base, Mueller APT 4.5-14x40AO, Apachee trigger kit
MarkII FV-SR in a Boyds Pro Varmint, DIP Bottom Metal, EGW base, Burris XTR rings, Nikon 3-9x40BDC, Apachee trigger kit
