This is the 8 point I shot this morning, he is my first nice buck and I will be getting a shoulder mount.

Dan, that is a great looking buck! I have a friend that lives here in the west that is originally from NY. He is back there right now hunting. He's got a lot of friend and family back there and I guess the deer hunting is really good.

Thank you Chuck,, the deer hunting has been excellent for sure. I didn't see anything the first two days of gun season, but now almost every time I go out I see a deer or two even if it's 700 yards away up on a hill in the nasty prickers that we have called rose wood. Rose wood has spread like wild fire and people can't get through it but the deer's thick fur enables them to glide right into it without getting snagged. The bucks around my area are smart, I mean smarter than me no joke LOL!

You listed a bunch of specs but not the cartridge. A 308 I presume.

Dan I count 9 points. A good taxadermist can repair that broken one and the only one that will know is you and him.
