Hello everyone
I'm new to this forum and hope that I'm posting in the right place.
I've searched on the site but can't seem to find info.

I have a 111 trophy hunter in 30/06 and I've been looking for a 10 round extended mag.
They don't seem to exist. I've found some instructions on modifying a Remington 7400/7600 10 round mag but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions.

Thank

I have a trophy hunter XP 116. That had the plastic stock, which uses the Axis magazine. The easy way to tell the difference: the Axis magazine has a long plastic piece which is the retaining clip-See here (http://media.midwayusa.com/productimages/880x660/Primary/499/499470.jpg)for example. The regular 100 series magazine has the retaining clip on the bottom metal, and the magazine doesn't have that plastic tab.
, for ex
Assuming you use the Axis magazine, search for something like Savage Axis extended magazine. I had no problem finding http://www.snydermags.com/products.html for example. If you have the regular Savage 100 series magazine, search for something like Savage 110 extended magazine or Savage long action High capacity magazine. It gets expensive, by my standards, quick.

http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/Magazines.html, for example. I don't have any of these- four plus one in the chamber is plenty for me.

Thanks for responding...
My 111 mag looks very similar to that. It was my understanding that the axis mag has a plastic housing while mine is metal.
I'll swing by a store and look at both

Happy New Year Everyone!
I had a great Christmas myself

It turns out my magazine is identical to the Axis Magazines. I was unable to find any companies who make a long action 30.06 extended mag.

I found a member on this site who was able to build me a custom extended 10 round magazine.
Thank you fgw_in_fla for you assistance, the new mag's work perfectly!!!

Happy hunting with it.
Now you can carry enough ammo in the magazine in case you ever get into a fire fight with a young buck or maybe a hog....

Good luck with the new toy.
