I was wondering how much inletting is needed to put a CDI DBM in a choate tactical stock for a savage 10 with factory dbm with the bottom bolt release?
I live in Canada and therefore cannot send my stock to US to be inletted by Jeff at CDI, so I am just curious if anyone has any experience with it?
I have heard the the CDI DBM is a direct drop in for the savage 10 with factory dbm?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would sell the stock you have and order a new one from CDI with the inletting completed. They're work is top notch. I run their bottom metal on a 116 Stagger feed using the 300WM type Aics mag in a Choate Stock and a M10 in a Manners T2A with the 308 Type AICS mags.

The only problem is in Canada I have to have everything imported, which in turn costs a lot more money for import/export fees on top of the product, plus its a left handed model

The CDI bottom metal is similar to the PTG bottom metal.
To get the PTG into My Choat tactical I had to remove the step on the Choat inlet to the flat accustock profile and relieve the mag opening a bit.
Did it with a dremel and a mill type bit in about 10 minutes.
If your somewhat handy with tools and take your time it won't be bad at all.
You Canadians are usually pretty handy.
