Gorgeous. I may just have to pull the ol' XP trigger on one, myself.

Finally got some time to snap some pics of the pepper stock...I really like it. Cant wait to get it put with a barreled action.

I snapped a couple different ones, I hope the lighting gives you all a pretty good idea of how it looks.

Guys, I have a long action with a heavy sporter barrel . It is a 24" barrel that tapers from 1.035" down to .710" at the muzzle. I want to get either the Classic or Heritage. Any idea which stock I might need to order to get the right barrel channel?

That pic is of the prairie hunter, Im going to my shop in a little while, Ill measure it and see how much meat is left on the sides of the forearm and post it, that may give u an idea.

Ok....looks like at the tip of the forearm the barrel channel right at .75in at the widest point and theres .25in of material on each side to play with. Just past where the barrel nut sits theres just a little better than an inch (1.045) wide with the same .25in material on the sides. I think it would fit myself with possibly a little bit of material removed to be sure the barrel is floating. I actually ordered the wrong stock (ordered a CF instead of SF) but my 280AI is on a CF and I thought about putting it in this stock but my barrel is a light varmint and I dunno if it would fit or not....not sure theres quite enough meat left on the stock for the barrel of mine. Hope this helps.

Thanks Scooter. This is on the Prairie Hunter with standard barrel channel correct? I hope you dont mind, but I have another question. Did you install pillars and bed the action or install as is? Any idea how accuracy is without pillars and bedding? I doubt I have the skill to install pillars. Thank You.

Yes sir, the prairie hunter with standard barrel channel. I haven't installed pillars but plan to, so I can't say for the accuracy. I'm still not sure how Ill use this stock since I ordered the wrong one, as I may try to convert it to a SF. Im not sure if I have the skill or not to do it either but Im gonna give it a whirl. Itll be my first bedding and pillar bedding job. Lol
